If you're using an aftermarket amp for the subwoofer, you must bypass the Bose subwoofer amp. This is the silver box underneath the subwoofer. Also, as you said, the resistance on the sub is only 1 ohm. You need to use a 3 ohm resister in serial. After a few months, I found this set up to be unstable. Since the subwoofer area is easily accessible, I've opted to replace the Bose sub with an aftermarket subwoofer. I'll add that to the write up maybe some day.

In cars without the MOST-link system, there is a pink wire behind the driver's dash panel by the speedometer. For newer cars, the speed signal is passed through the CAN-BUS system. You will need a CAN-BUS adapter to get the speed, p-break, etc. signal.

Worked great! Thanks! Got a new external HD (not my backup HD) to replace my old external used for storing photos only. Once plugged in (WD plug and play), my backup drive kept showing my old external HD as well as my new external HD. Copied all photos to the new external HD and set it up to be backed up in Time Machine. But Time Machine HD kept backing up my old external HD as well even though it was not connected. Waste of space. Used your directions and the old drive went away along with its backups.

This is a known issue, apparently. The best thing is to shutdown Cellular Data in Settings. You don't really need to turn off the phone or even go into Airplane Mode (which also shuts off WiFi). Apparently, Apple acknowledges this, according to AT&T Wireless, so a fix may be on the way.

"Turn Cellular Data Off (stops foreground data transfer)
Turn Airplane mode On (stops background data transfer)"

Turning Cellular Data off should prevent any connection taking place over the mobile network.
Turning Airplane Mode on will cut off your voice calls, SMS text messages as well as your mobile network - not far from switching it off completely, which you might as well do, if you're planning to go to sleep and not use the display for anything else.

Hi James, I have a 2006 turbo so I think it will fit. I did make a trip to the two dealers here in Minneapolis but neither have it. Maybe I could contact your dealer? If you want to shoot that to me offline, you can reach me.

Thanks!

You can get it from your Porsche dealer at full price... I got it for free when I got the car but did not install it until I got the ticket.
This part will ONLY fit the TURBO with the large grill, not the V6 versions.
