    Apple Online Store Drops QuickCam

Some time ago, Apple decided it was time to drop the stand alone iSight camera from its product line-up because every new consumer level Mac came with a built-in iSight camera. The problem was, that two of their products, the Mac:Mini and the PowerMac G5 did not come with a built-in camera, obviously because of how desktop machines are placed around the work space. So, those users had to result to using third party web-cams and iEEE 1394 compatible camcorders. Unfortunately, those two choices did not yield an elegant solution. For a while, Apple has been offering one of Logitech’s QuickCam series cameras on its online store, but with the recent update to its product line, it has disappeared. Is this a sign of something new to come?
