You must manually add these four lines to /etc/imapd.conf to activate and use SSL for IMAP on Mac OS X10.4 Server. The ServerAdmin GUI cannot write to imapd.conf for some reason.
tls_server_options: use
tls_Common_name: CertificateName
tls_cert_file: /etc/certificates/server.crt
tls_key_file: /etc/certificates/server.key
